Key Snow - Build Your Own

Just took my new Detours for a long weekend at Steamboat and they never let me down. Easy lens change had me covered between snow days and bluebird days.

I was skeptical about this purchase. Not being able to get a hands on visual/fit test had me concerned. Last goggle, and helmet purchase was in 2015, so I was concerned that new tech goggles wouldn’t match up on the forehead and what the tint would be like. The Detour Key frame matched up perfectly with my old Giro Seam helmet from 2014/15. I tried the Tropical lens first and was very impressed with the clarity and crispness. From the website illustration, I was expecting a pronounced pink tint but was pleasantly surprised this was not the case. There was no pink at all. The day was a thick overcast and the Tropical lens had excellent visibility until just before sunset. That’s when I changed to the Rose Quartz lens. Quick and easy swap with the magnetic mounts. Their clarity and light transmission is great but going down hill with the slope lights on made the terrain changes take a bit more effort to read, then again, that may just be my 55yo eyes. Definitely going to get the clear lens for the next trip and very likely a full sun lens to replace my old ANON Hawkeye goggles.

I bought these on a whim just to check out a new goggle and these did not disappoint!

I live in Alaska and work at Alyeska Resort, so I always need something for harsh conditions. It’s been storm after storm this month and these goggles are holding up to the test! We get a lot of flat light here and these goggle lenses are just as good as my Smith storm rose lenses. I’ve also been getting a lot of compliments on my “sick new goggles”.

Super impressed with the quality of these goggles and appreciated the option to customize a bit. Changing out lenses and the strap was really intuitive. I do agree with some reviews here that the goggles fit a bit small, as I could feel them just touching the edges of my eyes if not settled right and I'm a huge guy at all (5'8", 150 lbs). Field of view could be improved as well, but overall satisfied with these and love the pricing!

Fit great for smaller/small-medium sized faces. Can't see the borders. Great visibility. These probably would work for larger faces but I don't have one so I'm not sure. Great goggles with high-quality lenses, frame, and straps.

I am thoroughly impressed with this set that I just got. I got the Key frame along with a green sun lens and rose low light. They feel very high quality and the quick changing lenses are amazing. I’ve had no problem whatsoever with fogging or loose lenses. They fit great with my helmet and look great. Visibility is superb. I am an avid skier and long time user of another popular brand and now I am officially converted. The best part is the price point on extra lenses.

Detour’s goggle is well-made and super reasonably priced. Did I mention it looks cool? I’m glad to find Detour.
